Dan Gibson

Dan spent 26 years as a financial executive at a number of NYC firms, most recently at Starwood Hotels & Resorts. In 2002, Dan and his wife Susan, their son Keith and Jim and Ilene Stark created Grazin' Angus Acres, a 450 acre grass-fed & finished Black Angus and pastured poultry family run operation in response to their growing concern over U.S. industrial food. Grazin' has adopted an ecologically sustainable mission and is the only farm in Columbia County NY with a wind turbine, helping the operation minimize it's carbon footprint. Recently, Grazin' has been able to finish their Black Angus cattle year round given the introduction and cultivation of naturally occuring high sugar/carbohydrate grasses that yield significant energy advantages versus typical pasture alfalfa and clover. Grazin's year-round and wide selection of Black Angus beef cuts, seasonal pasture raised chickens and eggs are highly sought after by Greenmarket regulars.
